The Basilica of San Piero a Grado is a tour in which we will visit one of the oldest churches in the province, built right next to one of the landing places (gradus arnensis) of the port of Pisa in Roman times.

The Basilica of San Piero a Grado was in fact located in the large basin of the river and sea port in front of Pisa, when the town still overlooked the sea.

During the tour, in addition to visiting the magnificent basilica, we will continue to rediscover the complex port system that has shaped and characterized the history of the Maritime Republic over the centuries in which its history took place.
